Siddiqah Mostafavi, Imam Khomeini’s daughter recalls that he used to keep fasting while enduring the summer heat during his stay in exile in the holy city of Najaf.
The 14 years long exile and tough conditions, far from his children, couldn’t shake his determination to observe his obedience to God the Almighty.
Imam endured the hot weather of Najaf, and there he fasted for such long days.
The worker who served at Imam’s house used to pick the tray in the morning would complain and say:
"Madam, when I take Imam's tray of meal for fasting, I don't feel that the food has been eaten from this it at all; maybe Imam used to take ate a little, like half a cutlet.
In such harsh conditions, Imam used to fast during long and days on Najaf.
